CREO 'In The Red' EP out today!

iTunes -

World-class indie rock is what you can expect from Sydney-based outfit CREO with the release of their second EP.

In The Red delivers eclectic and thought-provoking indie rock with carefully thought out pacing, soaring stadium rock climaxes and more.

“The concept of the new record is about all the individual hardships of last year,” vocalist Jorjee Haman tells.

“It felt like we were in this horrible emotional debt to our hopes and dreams for success, hence the title, In the Red.

“Things got really stale in regards to the way we worked, created and the environment we based ourselves - the overall productivity of the band had started to become a chore.”

The band also drew from different creative and production inspirations while recording.

“We didn't play any of these songs live as a band till it was time to record, everything was written, demoed, and pre-produced on the fly, in my apartment,” Haman explains.

“It was a completely new approach for us and it seemed to work better than our original - jam ideas, build on them at home, rinse and repeat - ethos."

With In The Red officially out TODAY, CREO hit the road mid-November in support. -

CREO EP release date and Australian Tour

After returning with a pair of critically acclaimed singles, Sydney-based indie-rock quartet CREOhave announced tour dates and delivered their sophomore EP ‘In The Red’ – engineered and produced by long-time collaborator Nathan Sheehy (Dune RatsBirds of TokyoKim Churchill).

‘In The Red’ is six songs of brooding, eclectic and thought-provoking indie-rock. It ranges from the slow burning opening cut ‘Sentenced To Ten’, to the soaring stadium-rock of the title track, and the infectious scream-driven sing-a-longs of ‘Plasticine Mezzanine’. The final result shines a light on the group’s ability to continually push the envelope with their deft approach to song writing.

CIRCLES // Release New Single & Announce Upcoming Album

Circles_The Last One_Front_600x600.jpg

Aussie prog rock powerhouse Circles have released another taste of their new album; which we now know is called The Last One and is set to be released on August 31st.

Breaker is the second song to be released from the new album. Fans got their first taste of what is to come with the release of Blueprints Of A Great Escape earlier in the year.

The latest track is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Circles; emotional lyrics paired with sheer force and precision. They’re not afraid to take a few liberties either. People worldwide are taking notice too; with the band signing to infamous French label Season Of Mist for a European and American release. Back home, the band signed to new heavy label Wild Thing Records earlier in the year.

Guitarist Ted Furuhashi said that a lot of The Last One was born out of the band pushing their own sonic ideals. “The Last One is definitely an album that we’re all proud of. For me personally, it’s the record I’ve always wanted to write” said Furuhashi.
