CIRCLES’ are the next step in the evolution in heavy music. The intricacy, the emotional, heart-string pull of the lyrics, the precision and the sheer force of their output places them in a class all of their own.
Now – in 2018, Melbourne alternative progressive rock/metal powerhouse CIRCLES are set to circumnavigate and conquer the world with new signings and a brand new record – their best yet – in hand. They have recently signed with Wild Thing Records (Australia) and Season Of Mist (France). Their new album will see its release in the latter half of this year. Pair those latest signings with their already existing team for management (Bear Parts Music) and bookings (Australia – Wild Thing Presents, UK/EU – Artery Global, North America 33 & West), CIRCLES look set to utterly devastate the world’s stages.
With guitarist Ben Rechter assuming the role of melodic vocalist and fellow band members Tetsuya Furuhashi (guitar), Andrew Patton (bass/screamed vocals), and David Hunter (drums) providing a maelstrom of musical brutality, CIRCLES are a force to be reckoned with.
Throughout their two releases to date, 2011’s EP The Compass and 2013’s Infinitas (Basick Records), they have constantly evolved and brought new elements to heavy music and djent as a genre. They have garnered unanimously positive reaction from fans and critics across the globe via these amazing records and through an epic touring ethic, which has seen them take to the stage at some of the world’s most prestigious heavy/prog festivals and on tours with the world’s finest.
CIRCLES’ previous European tours have included Euroblast Festival, as well as supporting on tours by The Dillinger Escape Plan, Monuments and After The Burial. In Australia, they’ve toured as direct support to acts such as Periphery, Fear Factory, Ne Obliviscaris, and Twelve Foot Ninja.
